    Editorial Reviews

This documentary follows the career of Buddy Holly from his beginnings in Lubbock Texas to his untimely death in a 1959 plane crash. It is a very personal look into the private and professional life of one of the great contributers to rock and roll. The viewer sees vintage film footage as he performs some of his most memorable songs: "Oh Boy," "That'll be the Day," and "Peggy Sue." There are informative interviews with Tommy Allsup, band members, as well as others that were closely connected to his life. Hear about the man behind the performer. Hear what inspired his timeless songs in this indepth and complete account of the life and times of Buddy Holly. Beth Deki, All Movie Guide

December 03, 2000: This is a program put together by Paul McCartney, an original member of the Beatles. It is an awesome documentary, featuring still photos, home videos, and lots of rare Buddy Holly music, along with interviews with friends and family.
