Editorial Reviews

For fetching "world-famous teen hero" Kim Possible, foiling a kidnapping plot and saving the world from an army of flying robots is no biggie. But having no "b.f." (boyfriend) for the high school prom? That is so big. And so is this swan song to one of Disney Channel's most popular tween series. K.P. has a license to thrill in this particularly Bondian adventure that sees her nemesis, Dr. Drakken, unleash a characteristically wacked plot to take over the world. But first he has to find Kim Possible's weakness. Enter Eric, a handsome new student who sweeps Kim off her feet, much to the increasing displeasure of her lifelong platonic friend and stumbling sidekick, Ron Stoppable. So the Drama plays to all of Kim Possible's strengths. Our Kim is "a strong, independent woman" in the Buffy and Sydney (of Alias) mold. The action unfolds at a breakneck pace, as does the smart and witty dialogue. Nicole Sullivan (MAD TV) adds punch as Shego, Drakken's caustic henchperson, whose climactic battle with Kim is the smackdown Kim Possible fans have long been awaiting. They may also have been anticipating the romantic resolution to Kim and Ron's relationship, which echoes that of Lizzie McGuire and Gordo. As Drakken himself is forced to admit: Kim Possible is indeed "all that." Donald Liebenson, Barnes & Noble

July 30, 2005: "Kim Possible: So the Drama" has everything you could want...and then some. There's well- developed characters, incredible voice talents, heart-racing action, hysterical comedy, and even some heartfelt romance. Like in the "Harry Potter" movies and the TV series "Danny Phantom", "Kim" has teenaged protaganists face villians as well as normal adolesent problems, each appearing to be equally big in the heroes' eyes. This formula works because it makes us easily relate to them while cheering them on. As I said before, the voice cast is fantastic and never disappointing. Christy Carlson Romano mixes the right blend of angst and heroism to the title character, while Will Friedle has a funny and sympathic role as the lovesick Ron. Also, real-life cutie Ricky Ullman nails the part as Kim's "too good to be true" boyfriend Eric. The songs in the film are great and they perfectly fit the story. The bonus features on the DVD are a lot of fun and I recommed watching them before the movie. So for a great time, watch "Kim Possible: So the Drama"!!

June 04, 2005: There was a great feel to this film and all the characters acted as they would in the usual series, something that often doesn't happen.kim and ron make a great couple and it's about time they got together for keeps,i'm sure i'm not the only person who thinks so! i loved this film all the songs worked really well with what was happening at that time, it was a believable story, so in conclusion there is only one word that can truly describe this wonderful film. BOOYAH!
