August 01, 2009: "The Closer" is my all-time favorite TV show, and I never miss an episode. I can watch this DVD again and again and again - and I do. Kyra Sedgwick's Brenda Leigh Johnson is a multi-dimensional character. Fascinating, irritating, brilliant detective, and yet sometimes clueless as to what is going around her. The supporting cast are also superb, from Corey Reynolds as Sgt Gabriel (earnest, dedicated) to the under-utilized Jon Tenney as Brenda's lover Fritz Howard.
