Hell hath no fury like a media tycoon with satanic progeny. This follow-up to 1999's surprise spiritual hit The Omega Code finds Michael York reprising his role as Stone Alexander, son of mogul Daniel (David Hedison) and Satan incarnate. Inspired by biblical text and taking its title from an area near present-day Jerusalem that fundamentalist Christians believe will be the site of Armageddon, the story follows Stone's rise to evil power and his ruthless attempts for total control and Hell on Earth. Amid dying adversaries and even a crumbling Sphinx, the only man who poses a threat to Stone is his own brother, David (Michael Biehn), who has become president of the United States. But can a politician's power rival that of the Dark Lord? Both York and Biehn offer fine turns as brothers at arm's length, while creepy Euro-legend Udo Kier is well cast as Stone's ally from below. Director Brian Trenchard-Smith handles the material with energy, interweaving the story with some apocalyptic special effects. Stuart Gazzo, Barnes & Noble
