In late 1996, a group of armed revolutionaries invaded the Japanese embassy in Lima, Peru, and took the staff (which included a number of high-echelon politicians) hostage in a bid to win freedom for 400 political prisoners being held in Peruvian jails. Lima: Breaking the Silence is a fictionalized action-drama inspired by this real-life siege. The cast includes Joe Lara, Christopher Atkins, Billy Drago, and Charles Napier.
