    Editorial Reviews

In one chaotic moment, millions people around the world suddenly disappear. Mass confusion hits while vehicles suddenly unmanned veer out of control, fires erupt and hysteria breaks out as the living stare in disbelief and fear at the empty places where their loved ones were just seconds before. This is the rapture, the first sign to begin the unraveling of the end of time. Kirk Cameron stars as a reporter who gets caught in the turmoil, experiencing the rapture first-hand. Left Behind: The Movie is an exciting, direct-to-video feature based on the bestselling book. Barnes & Noble

February 24, 2005: Keep in mind that TriStar or MGM or Paramount wouldn't touch this screenplay and my hat is off to Cloud Nine for taking the chance on making this awesome book series into movies. They did what they could with what they had to produce a movie worthy of attention. No, it's not Star Wars, but is Lucas a Christian? We need to pray for a 'Mel Gibson' of sorts to take on this project and help the series live up to its potential! If God wills it, it'll happen!

Movie without books or budget - left wanting!!!by Anonymous

January 06, 2005: I read all the books before seeing the movie. I was disappointed in the movie only because Cloud Ten Pictures didn't seem to have the budget to really do the story justice. However, I'm glad I purchased BOTH movies (I and II) because anyone I lend them to - WANT to read the books afterwards. The STORY IS GREAT - it just needs a good production budget to make it the 'epic' that it truly is. I recommend buying and having the movies on hand so you can use them to bring others to read the books, which will then give them a greater understanding of what is to come, and even bring them to Christ. This seems to be the greatest affect the books have, and I am so grateful for that. AMEN!!
