July 19, 2009: I believe the tempo of the DVDs I own are appropriate for those who like myself are beginners and on through intermediate levels. His instruction, guidance, and combinations of poses are clear, easy to follow, and yet appropriately challenging. I whole heartedly recommend all his DVDs that I know and use which are: A.M. Yoga for your week, Energy Balance Yoga, Yoga For Beginners, and Power Yoga. I look forward to purchasing more of his DVDs in the future. Many of them are videoed in scenic locations which further enhance the exercise experience. I "always" come away from my yoga exercises energized and wide awake regardless of the energy level from which I start. He also has a manual, "Moving Toward Balance", which I own. It is great to be able to study the manual in order to pinpoint poses. You don't have to have both DVD and manual to benefit from his instruction, but I enjoy the in depth learning I get from owning both.

June 08, 2009: I practice Bikram (hot) yoga regularly and was looking for a video I could take with me while traveling. I don't have the discipline to hold the Bikram series postures for 30-60 seconds on my own so external motivation seemed the next best option. This video incorporates the aspects of repetition, gradual movement, and holding poses that make me love the Bikram series so much. This video is long enough and strenuous enough to make you feel like you're actually doing something. It also makes good use of the upper body which, as a woman, is often lacking in my own exercises. There is a great deal of focus on the back and stomach by virtue of the postures chosen for this series. I am very happy with my purchase and recommend this video highly for someone who wants to build strength and endurance as well as slimming the stomach and burning fat.
