Editorial Reviews

Based on Danny Wallace's autobiographical book, Jim Carrey stars as a man who decides to spice up his life by saying yes to everything in his life that he would normally say no to. Fun With Dick and Jane's creative team of director Peyton Reed and writer Nick Stoller head up the production. Zooey Deschanel co-stars as the romantic interest, with Bradley Cooper appearing as Carrey's best friend. Jeremy Wheeler, All Movie Guide

October 31, 2009: I just finally saw this movie for the first time, and I hafta say that I really enjoyed it. Some of it was a little predictable, like with the girl...they fall in love and something happens to get her to break it off and guy must win her back. However, it was done comically, and the whole rest of the movie in and of itself was pretty good. I laughed pretty well periodically in the movie, and it just gives you this nostalgic sense of wanting to really get out and start enjoying life more. I have a little bit of a tendancy, too, to be a bit of a recluse at times and sit home by myself and watch movies, much like Jim Carrey's character did in the beginning of this movie, but I have resolved now to actually start getting out a bit more and doing more stuff, rather than just vegging a lot in my recliner at home in front of the boob tube. It's the perfect opportunity for it too, since I have just received a new and better schedule at work. Anyway, if you are a Jim Carrey fan and/or just like a good comedic movie with perhaps a little bit of romantic element, with perhaps a bit of a motivational element to it, I definitely suggest this movie. The whole cast did great as well. Zooey Deschanel, Bradley Cooper, John Michael Higgins, and Terrance Stamp are great!
