Psychologist Dr. Tony Hill (Robson Green) once again is on the trail of serial killers in the third series from Britain’s acclaimed crime drama Wire in the Blood, based on the novels by Val McDermid. Joined by his partner, Detective Inspector Carol Jordan (Hermione Norris), Hill uses his unsettling talent of getting into killers' heads to create eerily accurate psychological profiles. Airing Stateside in April 2005 on BBC America, Series 3 features four 90-minute case files. In "Redemption," Hill suspects a murderer of targeting abused kids, after the bodies of three young boys are found. In "Bad Seed," a newly released ex-con joins Hill's university class, leading Hill to suspect he's behind a recent series of gruesome murders. Hill is puzzled by the seemingly schizophrenic behavior of a killer who battered a woman to death with an iron in "Nothing but the Night" and struggles to create a profile before the killer strikes again. Finally, in "Synchronicity," Hill faces his own mortality when he's attacked and winds up in the hospital -- and is then diagnosed with a brain tumor. Christina Urban, Barnes & Noble
