Directed by Paul McGuigan, Wicker Park follows Chicago businessman Matthew's (Josh Hartnett) return to Windy City life after having dedicated two years of his life to mourning his long lost love Lisa (Diane Kruger), who'd mysteriously vanished from his life. Things are finally looking up again for Matthew; his career is in full swing, and he's thinking of becoming engaged -- that is, until he thinks he's spotted his former lover in a restaurant. Almost immediately, Matthew puts the brakes on his marriage plans and his career in order to conduct an exhaustive search for his old flame. Obsessed, he barely notices the psychologically devastating trap his quest is leading him into -- a danger that only grows when he meets an enigmatic stranger (Rose Byrne). Wicker Park features Matthew Lillard and Jessica Paré in supporting roles. ~ Tracie Cooper, All Movie Guide All Movie Guide

May 27, 2009: This movie came out when I was twelve. I saw it mentioned in a magazine and I knew I had to see it. Five years later, I found it in the bargain bin at out local B&N and so I bought it. My sister, friend, and I watched it and when it was over, we just sat there and looked at one another.

It was an amazing show. When it starts out, you're like "what's going on? I don't get it." Then, bit by bit, the plot unravels. As the show nears its end, it has you on the edge of your seat, hardly daring to breathe. Then it ends and you feel like laughing and crying.

On the box, it says "sexy thriller" and that's it exactly. The way the different characters' stories are woven together is astounding. The acting is superb, and it is not without its humorous moments.

Overall, I highly recommend it. There is no other show like it on earth.

I Also Recommend: Wicker Park [Original Soundtrack].

December 21, 2007: I believe it was a great story and a great idea, but, even though one must think that it is about a very dark or even creepy obsession, at the ending, that goes away very easily. Althought the actual final scene must be romantic for most people, it was giving up the so called obsession that might be dissapointing. Stll, it is a good film.
