    Editorial Reviews

Most of the cartoons in this loosely themed collection have been previously released on home video, but they are well worth a return trip. Disney has mapped out an entertaining global itinerary that includes visits to Argentina ("Pedro," a segment from Saludos Amigos), Greece (the Goofy cartoon "The Olympic Champ"), Russia ("Peter and the Wolf" from Make Mine Music), England ("The Brave Little Tailor," one of Mickey Mouse's best), and America ("Susie, the Little Blue Coupe"). This volume ventures off the beaten path to include a new-to-home-video 1947 Donald Duck and Goofy cartoon, "Crazy with the Heat," in which the hapless duo are stranded in the Egyptian desert and bedeviled by mirages. Children will be transported by these captivating cel-animated cartoons, and parents will certainly appreciate the nearly hour-long vacation. Donald Liebenson, Barnes & Noble
