Editorial Reviews

A friend comes into a fortune, but there’s only one hitch -- he’s quite dead. This delightful British comedy, set in rural Ireland and featuring a cast of older but still quite game actors, was one of the great surprise hits of the 1990s. Barnes & Noble

December 22, 2007: What a wonderful film. The lead actors are absolutely terrific. Ian Bannen in one of his best roles. The film is an absolute delight, the humor is unforced, the joy of a small village is fully captured, and life long friendships are more important than mounds of money. I don't anyone who could watch this film without letting out a chuckle, a smile, or a laughfest at times.
