One of America's most popular hard rock bands in the '70s, '80s, and '90s, Van Halen is a group who has learned how to change with the times, and this home video features videos for 13 of their biggest hits which document both the funny and serious sides of this band. Selections include "Jump," "Panama," "Hot for Teacher," "Right Now," "Finish What Ya Started," "Dreams," and "Humans Being." Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

July 30, 2003: A must-have video collection from one of the greatest bands of all time. It showcases the band at their best. The videos ''Panama'' and ''Hot for Teacher'' shows the band at their funniest. ''Poundcake'' just shows that boys will be boys. I'd have to say this is one of the best videos and the most powerful song Van Halen has ever done. Powerful in terms of rhythm, guitars. It's a real party song. ''When It's Love'' and ''I Can't Stop Lovin' You'' shows the band at the time when they were starting to mature. ''Don't Tell Me What Love Can Do'' shows the really serious side of the band and this is a video that will really touch you. It is the most powerful video on this set. It is very intense and thought-provoking. My only complaint about this collection is that there isn't a video for ''Dance the Night Away.'' Perhaps there never was a video made for this song, but it would've been good to make one. While the videos with David Lee Roth are cool, I like the ones with Sammy Hagar better. The band really works well together with Sammy and the spotlight is not on just one person.

August 01, 2002: Why isn't ''Pretty Woman'' video on here? And the band could've spiced things up by releasing some of the early Van Halen performances that were filmed live for Don Kirshner.
