    This animated Japanese feature is aimed at adult audiences and features bloodshed and nudity. The story is set in a grim and distant future wherein vampires dominate what is left of the human race. The story centers on a young woman who hires a famous vampire hunter after she is bitten by one herself. If D should fail her, the girl will be forced to join the ranks of the immortal damned.     March 31, 2008: this was okay but still cool and might be a favorite to any but not all. this is the story of the hunter d who turns out is a vampire but hunting his own kind. heard that theme before? check this out and also see its equally good sequel bloodlust. the story may stray a little bit like its sequel but in the end it turns out alright as with many movies other than anime.
