More than 20 years ago, U2 burst out of Dublin, Ireland, set to change the world with their music. Time and again their songs and social conscience have dovetailed with a knack for artistic innovation, from their collaborations with Brian Eno to their multimedia, senses-blitzing Zoo TV tour. The Elevation Tour proves no exception, as this concert video proves. Live from Boston presents almost two hours of U2 onstage at the Fleet Center on June 6, 2001, as they rip through a set of gems from their All That You Can't Leave Behind album, including "Beautiful Day" and "Walk On," on which Bono's passionate voice and the Edge's chiming guitar carry the day. Classics are here, of course, including the anthems "Sunday Bloody Sunday," "With or Without You," and "Where the Streets Have No Name," all of which also attest to bassist Adam Clayton and drummer Larry Mullen's solid, driving rhythm work. The DVD version features a second disc with Another Perspective, an alternate-camera view of the entire show, not to mention three additional performances from around the world and a making-of documentary on the rigors of touring.
