Editorial Reviews

The Christmas-themed animated Tom and Jerry: A Nutcracker Tale features the cartoon cat and mouse antagonizing each other while the rodent attempts to stage a holiday-themed extravaganza. The film utilizes Tchaikovsky's familiar music for The Nutcracker Suite. ~ Perry Seibert, All Movie Guide All Movie Guide

August 14, 2007: 1993's Tom and Jerry: The Movie, 2001's Tom and Jerry: The Magic Ring, 2005's Tom and Jerry: Blast Off to Mars, 2005's Tom and Jerry: The Fast and the Furry and 2006's Tom and Jerry: Shiver Me Whiskers were pure goodness but I hope 2007's Tom and Jerry: A Nutcracker Tale will make T&J fans shout for more new future Tom and Jerry movies for DVD.

July 04, 2007: While watching Tom and Jerry:A Nutcracker Tale, I thought it would be another terrible Tom and Jerry movie just like the past few they have done. I was ready to turn off the television immediately after it started until the beautiful animation and music caught my eye. Soon enough I was sucked into the movie, I was literally on the edge of my seat through the first half to the end. As soon as the end credits started to roll I saw that this was directed Spike Brant and Tony Cervone and written by Joe Barbera prior to his death. This movie has really showed true character and storytelling above many theatrical movies and stayed very true to the original comedy and style of the old Tom and Jerry shorts. If Joe Barbera was still alive I'm sure he would have been proud of how well his last project turned out. Because I liked it so much I'm putting both of my thumbs way up! Highly Recommended!
