Editorial Reviews

Ever wonder what programs capture the imaginations of children in other countries? In Australia, it's The Wiggles -- Murray, Anthony, Greg, and Jeff -- whose unique brand of interactive musical high jinks is on display here in Yummy Yummy. This irresistibly upbeat tape collects 14 songs, most of them original, that emphasize tongue-teasing wordplay. There are lots of coordination-testing hand games and sing-along, dance-along, wiggle-along fun with rhythms ranging from rockabilly to swing. The recommended audience is children five and under, although with a caveat: One song features Wiggles look-alike puppets that may even creep out adults. Donald Liebenson, Barnes & Noble

January 15, 2006: My 1 1/2 year old loves the wiggles and he really loved this video in particular. He loves the creepy puppet segment. It's me who has to leave the room in hysterics when I see it---IT FREAKS ME OUT!!!!!!! Otherwise, a good, entertaining video.

August 12, 2005: Lots of fun. Too bad some people are creeped out by the puppets singing the techo-beat point your finger and do the twist. It is HILARIOUS! My two year old daughter loves it and laughs, sings, and dances. It is the funniest thing I've seen the Wiggles do. The rest of the DVD is good too, with a few lame items (Gregg doing a boring magic trick), but mostly entertaining.
