This comedy-adventure is one of several adaptations of Alexadre Dumas' (pere) classic novel. Provincial swordsman D'Artagnan (Chris O'Donnell) travels to Paris to follow in his father's footsteps and become a king's guard, a musketeer. Meanwhile, the evil royal advisor Cardinal Richelieu (Tim Curry), with the help of one-eyed Captain Rochefort (Michael Wincott), has disbanded the King's bodyguards in his devious attempt to usurp the power of the King (Hugh O'Conor) and rule France. Three of the musketeers, Athos (Kiefer Sutherland), Porthos (Oliver Platt), and Aramis (Charlie Sheen), escape and partner with D'Artagnan in an attempt to thwart the Cardinal and his minions, who also include the duplicitous Milady de Winter (Rebecca DeMornay). ~ Lisa Kropiewnicki, All Movie Guide All Movie Guide

July 04, 2009: This is one of Disney's best ever. Great cast, wonderful script with a nice plot. And of course the happy ending. This one will definitely stand the test of time. Highly recommend it for family night.

May 27, 2009: I absolutley LOVE this movie. I had to search a bit for it and finally found it here at B&N. The acting in this is so awesome. Tim Curry is great. Funny in moments, well as funny as he can be in his part of the Cardinal. Charlie Sheen and Oliver Platt are absolutely hilarious though! Their characters are perfect and even though they are funny they still have a very touching and emotional moment. Keifer Sutherland is great, as is Chris O'Donnell. Rebecca DeMornay as the Countess DeWinter is fantastic. Although they are less known than the earlier actors named, Michael Wincott as Rochefort and Hugh O'Conner as Kind Louise definitely hold their own in this famous cast movie. You also get to see an early Gabreille Unwar (Burn Notice) and she is just as beautiful and spunky back then. All around just an amazing movie with awesome acting. Definitely a must watch for everyone. There's plenty of action and a little bit of a love story thrown in too. I could really just watch this movie over and over and over, and have before. Hope that you enjoy it as much as I do!!!

I Also Recommend: Willow, The Princess Bride.
