Editorial Reviews

Take a pinch of The Terminator, a dash of William Gibson's computer cowboy sensibility, add a healthy dollop of Hong Kong action cinema and the result is The Matrix, the most inventive science fiction flick to light up a movie screen in recent years. Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne), a super-cool, philosophy-spouting rebel with psychic abilities, and his latex-sheathed female sidekick, Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss), turn disaffected computer wiz Neo (Keanu Reeves) into a kung fu-fighting warrior who goes head to head against the forces of evil deep in cyberspace. Even if some viewers get lost in the twisting storyline, the dazzling special effects and mind-blowing sets will keep most of them on the very edge of their seats. A Must See!by Kiko1021

October 07, 2009: This movie is one of the most thought provoking movies I've seen to date. There is an excellent mix of sci-fi and action, and the philosophical concepts woven into the mix only enhance the viewing process. If you have not already seen this movie, please go out and see it; it's fantastic. The movie explodes into action in the first scene and continues forward, never letting up until the end. Th scenes are sculpted in such a way that, by the end of the movie, the viewer can't help but be immersed in the story. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone can be told how good The Matrix is, you'll have to see for yourself!

August 16, 2009: The Matrix starring Keanu Reeves and Lawrence Fishborne is an action-packed Sci-Fi thriller. Artificially intelligent super machines control the human race, enslaving them to use their body heat essentially as batteries. In order to perpetuate the enslavement of humans they are kept asleep and fed a false dream world that substitutes for their actual existence as vegetative zombies encased in gooey slimy cocoons. Keanue Reeves' character has the special temperament and ability to break the control of the matrix and fight it from within and is thus the best hope for the future of mankind.

I Also Recommend: The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, Animatrix, Children of the Matrix, Devil's Verse.
