i've never done pilates before, and this was my first dvd to start out on. it's easy to follow and isn't very difficult to do, so for a beginner i say it's pretty good. it has a warm up, and section each for arms, legs, and core, and a little warm down. it only takes about a half hour so it's pretty easy to fit into my days.
i'm so not an exerciser or a health nut...so i've only gotten around to doing it only about a dozen times in about 2 months, but i like having it because somedays it just feels good to at least get a good stretch in!
if i can ever get myself to do pilates on a regular basis, i'd probably look for something more advanced, but for me right now this does just fine! :)
