Editorial Reviews

One of Santa's little helpers learns that even spreading Christmas cheer can be quite a chore in this animated holiday adventure featuring the voice and music of Harry Connick, Jr. Few elves display half the Christmas cheer of Eubie, and when the grumpy town of Bluesville refuses to celebrate the holidays, Santa's chipper little toymaker takes it upon himself to brighten the spirits of the Grinch-like citizens. Bringing cheer to this crabby bunch will be a real challenge, but if anyone's up for the job it's certainly Eubie. Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

December 30, 2005: I went out and baught this DVD after we saw the show in NBC. It is going to be in our holiday list of "shows not to miss" from here on out. Watching Euby and Elf set out to make nice kids from naughty ones gives us hope for all those not-so-nice people we all know. Add to this the fact that you get to listen to Harry Connick Jr and this awesome song, and you've got a real winner.

December 29, 2005: Harry Connick Jr! Isn’t that enough! Okay, so I’m a big fan of the man, but this show’s pretty good on its own, although the music and narration wouldn’t be the same without him. Forty-five minutes is a little shorter than I cared for, but that’s what they gave us (an extra few minutes wouldn’t have hurt much). We get to follow a Happy Little Elf called Eubie who tries to make some naughty kids turn nice. Not too sappy, and still a possible Christmas classic. The DVD set’s not too shabby. Aside from the film there are quite a few extras including a box that lights up and plays a little tidbit from the theme music. There are quite a few good laughs in here. This film is very suitable for the older kids, but not for babies teens and adults with a since of humor will also enjoy this flick. It will even be nice throughout the year!
