Editorial Reviews

Concert for Bangladesh is a filmed document of the 1971 benefit concert, organized by George Harrison as one of his first big post-Beatles projects. Conceived as a fund-raiser for the titular flood-plagued Third World nation, the Madison Square Garden event brought Harrison together with such music giants as Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Billy Preston, Leon Russell, and Ravi Shankar. A record album of the event was released simultaneously. Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

July 13, 2009: This great concert film ranks up there with Woodstock and Monterey Pop. It was the first real benefit concert and it features some of the best performances of some of the greatest artists of the late 60's and early 70's. This movie is Amazing!!

February 23, 2009: This is a great DVD which I play over and over. Watching Eric Clapton barely walking onto the stage, Bob Dylan shows up unexpectedly, and George Harrison is never better! The show is fantastic.

I Also Recommend: Clapton: The Autobiography.
