Editorial Reviews

As created by J.D. Roth, the popular NBC reality series The Biggest Loser pits severely overweight contestants against one another to determine who can lose the most weight in a set period of time - with the inherent reward of a $250,000 prize. The Biggest Loser workout videos feature exercise routines employed on the series, and devoted to the same fitness goals of fat burning and weight loss via increased strength and endurance. The Biggest Loser Workout: Power Sculpt incorporates three strength-training regimens with progressive levels of difficulty, respectively hosted by series regulars Jillian Michaels, Kim Lyons and Bob Harper. Following a basic warm-up, Level One finds Michaels leading at-home participants through a basic 20-minute strength training workout which targets every major area of the body; Level Two finds Lyons leading participants through a 10 minute workout that elevates upper and lower-body strength while vigorously working on one's core muscles; and Level Three features Harper leading participants in a weight-training routine with the added bonus of 'bootcamp' movements uniquely designed by the trainer. The program wraps with a cool-down. ~ Nathan Southern, All Movie Guide All Movie Guide

October 19, 2009: I did not find this DVD very challenging as the majority of the video is for Level 1 or beginners. The Level 2 & Level 3 segments are only 10 minutes each. Based on other feedback I thought this video would be much more challenging for the intermediate/advanced athelete.

Power Sculpt is a great starting place!by MuscleMama

October 13, 2009: Power Sculpt would be great for a beginner. It gives you motivation and alternatives moves to keep you moving if you can't follow the team yet. For most of the "Biggest Loser" workout series you don't need anything to get started. So, why are you still on the couch?
