    Editorial Reviews

Originally recorded in 1999 during a live New York City performance, this video features a set of eight compositions (two by each member of the group) from the Abercrombie Erskine Mintzer Patitucci Band. Known for their range in style, John Patitucci's spirtual rendition of "The Well" is strikingly different than Erskine's funky "Cats and Kittens" or Abercrombie's country-inflected swing performance of That's For Sure." Rounded out by Bob Mintzer's "Modern Day Tuba," each member of the group offers a brief explanation towards his individual approach to playing his instrument in an ensemble environment. ~ Tracie Cooper, All Movie Guide All Movie Guide
