Editorial Reviews

It's Elmo's World, where monsters aren't so scary after all, especially when they're on their best behavior. And with Julia Roberts among the visitors in the house, you can bet that Elmo will be at his cutest, funniest, and cuddliest in this delightful 30-minute program. The red, furry little monster recalls favorite songs and vignettes from Sesame Street, such as his attempts to scare Roberts (who's almost as adorable as Elmo). Elmo also does some "Happy Tappin' " raps about the number 5, compares fur and skin with Whoopi Goldberg, and sings the Sesame Street standards "Imagination" and "Elmo's Song." Elmo fans will be tickled by this fast-paced compilation available on VHS and, for the first time, DVD. Barnes & Noble

October 29, 2008: This DVD I expected to be more engaging but it is just a bunch of TV segments of elmo with famous people. elmo talking to whoopi about her hair/his fur, julia roberts and being afraid, etc. I just found it not that stimulating and my son gives it five minutes before he ignores it for play and just become background noise. I think there are better DVD's out there-
abby in wonderland
plaza sesamo dvd's
fiesta
dinosaurs
halloween adventure
elmo says boo
imagine that
elmo in grouchland

January 11, 2004: If you have a toddler, you need to have this 'classic' Elmo video in your collection. My 1 year old is hooked to the point that, on New Year's day, our old VHS tape of 'The Best of Elmo' broke and I had to run (not walk) to Barnes and Noble to get a new copy. My son may not have a large vocabulary but we frequently hear him chanting 'Elmo, Elmo' in our home. Some things never go out of style and this video is one of them.
