Sesame Street is alive with the sound of music in this 41-minute program that will strike a responsive chord in everyone who loves to "sing out loud, sing out strong." First, Elmo sings "Somebody Come and Play" as he tries to hook up with Rosita for a scheduled play date. As Elmo notes, it is fun to make up songs or sing those you already know, and Karaoke Night at Mr. Hooper's store offers the chance to join in on such Sesame Street standards as "ABC-DEF-GHI," "People in Your Neighborhood," "You Say Hola" (performed by Gloria Estefan), and the spirit-lifting "New Way to Walk" (performed by Destiny's Child). Sesame Street: Sesame Sings Karaoke features a series of tunes made popular on the beloved children's series, presented in a way that make it simple for kids to learn the lyrics. The ostensible storyline concerns Elmo and Rosita attempting to sing together during a play date, but that serves as little more than an excuse to share such numbers as "Ladybug Picnic," "People In Your Neighborhood," and "ABC-DEF-GHI."
