Editorial Reviews

After falling asleep, Abby Caddaby finds herself chasing a red rabbit (more commonly known as Sesame Street's effervescent Elmo), only to wind up in a mysterious Wonderland. She meets a variety of unique characters, including Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum (Bert and Ernie), the Mad Hatter (Grover), and a Cheshire Cat with an eerily familiar passion for cookies. Wonderland, however, is no Sesame Street, and Abby must find her magic wand in order to return home. ~ Tracie Cooper, All Movie Guide All Movie Guide

October 29, 2008: Sesame street often has segments streamed together with an overarching story or elmo narraration. This is an actual 40 minute movie of wanting to be something you are not and being happy with who you are in the guise of alice in wonderland's storyline. I fell in love with Abby in this DVD. A must have to any DVD collection and if you are chosing between this an another, choose this one for certain! I say this after having watched over 30 sesame street DVD's.

Abby is a Must Seeby bv

October 17, 2008: This is a great movie but at the beginning it's confusing because there are no people in it. It's like a cartoon but with strange creatures that you soon realize are sock puppets...but they can talk. It's about this rabbit who, as it turns out, is played by Elmo who used to be on Sesame Street but is now making adventure movies like this one. The Elmo-Rabbit takes Abby's wand and escapes down the rabbit hole. It's not clear why he takes her wand or why she even has a wand. The message seems to be that little girls who have wands should be more careful when they are consorting with rabbits. Anyway, Abby chases the Elmo-Rabbit down the hole and the story seems awfully familiar...like the movie ALICE IN WONDERLAND except this girl is named Abby and it's not a cartoon, as I pointed out earlier, and it has a COUNTpillar instead of a CATERpillar. Abby encounters many other sock puppets in her whimsical adventures in Wonderland and it all ends happily for everyone except for the Cheshire Cookie Cat who is obssessed with cookies and seems angry that anyone came to see him unless they brought cookies which they didn't
