When sleuthing archaeologist Velma travels to Egypt to attend a ceremony celebrating the unveiling of the newly restored Sphinx, the discovery of a hidden tomb threatens to unleash an ancient curse in this frightful feature-length mystery featuring everyone's favorite dog detective - Scooby-Doo. Upon discovering the ancient tomb of Eqyptian queen Cleopatra, Scooby and the gang find an ominous warning stating that all who enter will be turned to stone. As the mystery of the ancient tomb deepens, an army of the dead emerges to take revenge on those who would violate the eternal slumber of their revered ruler. Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

December 27, 2005: All I can say is what happened here? Warner Bros. was doing so good with these Scooby-Doo movies and then took a drastic fall. The first of Warner Bros. good streaks were Scooby-Doo and the Loch Ness Monster and then the surprisingly good Aloha, Scooby-Doo. Okay here's the deal. The gang goes to Egypt to surprise Velma and this woman unleashes the mummy's curse upon the gang. Soon people get turned into stone in a blink of an eye and while the gang seems to be running for their lives Scooby and Shaggy seem to be in paridise. That is until they have to sacrifice themselves to a savage beast. The gang shows up and that whole fiasco turned out to be fake. And then they seem to come back to solve the real mystery. Over all too many things tried to get crammed in and then the whole movie looses focus. The movie wasn't all that exciting but it was still good. Not great but still good.
