Witches, zombies, vampires, oh my! It's all in a night's work for the Mystery, Inc. gang -- for whom the notion of a 90-minute "Halloween-themed" collection almost seems a redundancy. (Isn't every night Halloween for this group?) The first three of four creepy, scary, and eerie episodes included here -- "Which Witch Is Which," "That's Snow Ghost," and "A Gaggle of Galloping Ghosts" -- are from the first season of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? Yes, vintage Scooby remains the coolest Scooby, as those "blasted kids and their dog" get to the bottom of some dandy -- albeit cheaply animated -- mysteries involving bad guys in monster masks. The fourth episode -- "Vampires, Bats, and Scaredy Cats" from the newer Scooby-Doo Show -- succeeds in making one misty for the earlier episodes, thanks in part to the presence of a would-be Goofy, Scooby-Dumb.
