The intense, fiery and audacious Oklahoma City police detective is back to mend her life in the acclaimed TNT series Saving Grace. Holly Hunter stars as Detective Grace Hanadarko, a fast-living, hard-drinking, cynical forty-something who, despite being at the top of her field, takes struggle to a new level. It all catches up to her after she tragically kills a pedestrian in a drunk driving accident, forcing her, uncharacteristically, to ask God for help. Her prayers are answered by Earl (Leon Rippy); a scruffy, tobacco-spitting, unlikely "last-chance angel" who unfolds his wings to reveal his heavenly origins and pledges to help Grace get her life on the right path. In the second season's (2008-9) 14 episodes, Grace's life reaches its darkest point as she continues to embrace the edges of life while trying to forgive herself for her sister's death in the Oklahoma City bombing. The series features an outstanding ensemble cast including Laura San Giacomo; Kenneth Johnson; Bokeem Woodbine; Gregory Cruz; Dylan Minnette; Lorraine Toussaint; and Bailey Chase. July 18, 2009: Saving Grace Season 2 continued the brilliant writing, directing and cinematography that filled the first season. Holly Hunter as Grace and Leon Rippy as Earl continued to give raw, searching and sometimes scary performances. The season wrapped up some story lines, led one to begin an understanding of the season to follow and ended with almost the same line as the first season; paraphrased as "Do you know an angel named Earl?"

The ensemble cast fill their characters with believeable pathos and truth and help the writing come to enduring life. I can wholly reccomend to any adult that this show be on your must see list and, if like myself you find yourself unable to view the show on TV or just need a second shot at the glorious episodes; buy Saving Grace!

Living in Italy this program helps to remind me of the fantastic entertainment America is capable of. Cudos to Holly Hunter as star and Producer, and to Everlast for a fantastic sound track!

Keep up the good work and I look forward to Season Three.
