Editorial Reviews

Politically incorrect comedy is the order of the day when the Sanfords, one of TV's most endearingly cantankerous families, return for another season of junkyard mischief. Join Fred (Redd Foxx), Lamont (Demond Wilson), Aunt Esther (LaWanda Page), and an inimitable supporting cast as they trade countless barbs and insults in Norman Lear's classic, stereotype-skewering series. The season includes two riotous scripts by comedian Richard Pryor: "The Dowry" and "Sanford and Son and Sister Makes Three," plus the memorable "A Visit from Lena Horne," wherein Fred sneaks into the blues diva's dressing room and attempts to trick her into visiting him at home. This three-disc set includes all 24 second-season episodes in their original broadcast order and offers a visit with America's favorite (albeit only) TV family of junk sellers. Barnes & Noble

August 30, 2009: Its cliche but "they don't make them like this anymore". Absolutely hilarious I can watch this show over and over and never tire of it.
