    Editorial Reviews

Suavely concocted to appeal to fans of Harry Potter and Lizzie McGuire, Friends Forever sends 13-year-old supernatural misfit Sabrina Spellman to Witch Academy. She longs to be more accepted and doesn't tell anyone she is a half witch. But only by following the golden rules of witchdom (use your magic wisely, be true to your friends, be true to yourself) will she be able to earn the coveted Golden Wand. Charming voice work by Britt McKillip as Sabrina helps to make this produced-for-Nickelodeon animated feature surprisingly bewitching. The boldly and brightly colored production is eye candy, but Sabrina's empowering ordeal will resonate with tweens who, like her, may wonder, Why can't I be this way instead of that way? Maybe I'd have more friends if I were such-and-such and not whatever. Donald Liebenson, Barnes & Noble

October 22, 2004: Friends Forever is pretty good, and it teaches a very important lesson all right. I give this movie an 8 on a 1-10 scale. Friends Forever should be recommended to all Sabrina Spellman fans everywhere, whether they believe in magic or not.
