The final episodes of this popular mystery series began airing in January 2006 in the U.K, but ITV unceremoniously canceled Rosemary & Thyme in May of that year, before the final two episodes even reached the air. This box set includes all seven of the 2006 episodes, along with the Christmas special "The Cup of Silence" from 2005. The exploits of horticulturists Rosemary Boxer (Felicity Kendal) and Laura Thyme (Pam Ferris) gets under way with "In a Monastery Garden," during which the murder of a young girl takes their attention away from reviving an ancient herb garden. A foreigner turns up dead in a famous botanist's garden in "Seeds of Time." Rosemary's former boyfriend invites the duo to his Moorish garden in Spain, where a local resident is found murdered in "Aqua Cadaver." In "Three Legs Good," a three-legged dog is central to a murder plot in a Regent's Park garden, and an abandoned baby is found in a memorial garden in "The Gooseberry Bush." The gardeners are hired to create a trophy garden for a tennis tournament in "Racquet Español," until one of the players is found dead. And in the final episode of the series, "Enter Two Gardeners," the two friends are working on the garden of a local theater when one of the actors shoots himself with a gun that was supposed to be filled with blanks.
