The legendary folk hero returns with even more breathtaking archery, incredible swordplay, wry humor, brute force, and the raw determination to right wrongs. The season begins with Robin Hood (Jonas Armstrong) marked for death by the Sheriff of Nottingham (Keith Allen) -- who's also plotting to kill King Richard upon his return from the Holy Land. Meanwhile, Sir Guy of Gisborne (Richard Armitage) is bent on revenge after being left at the altar by Marian (Lucy Griffiths). Can Robin save the good people of England from the Sheriff's treachery and finally win the heart of Marian? As seen on BBC America. Series 2 of Robin Hood orignally aired October-December 2007 on the BBC. From the Studio

June 23, 2009: I love this new take on Robin Hood. The characters are well drawn and believable. I like that Marian is a strong woman, who loves Robin Hood, but doesn't just accept what he says or do what he tells her. She has her own opinions and takes risks for what she believes in. Much is adorable. I love that he's the voice for "that's too dangerous" and "Wouldn't you rather stay home", but is always there to fight with the gang and do what needs to be done. I like Gisborne's character. Deep down, under the cowardly bully, there is a little bit of a decent human being, that we see glimpses of, but is quickly quashed. The sheriff is a really overdrawn bad guy, with no single redeeming chacteristic. I bet he wsa lots of fun to play! I highly recommend this and the first season as well. My only complaint? I didn't like how the series ended.

February 10, 2009: So I purchased this dvd set for my sister who had watched the first season prior to my purchase. I was quickly caught up in the story line and though it is predictable I really liked it.
