You'll see where Gearge Lucas got his ideas & special effectsby Marianna_psych_student

February 16, 2009: The special effects are fascinating, cute, and really cool, especially knowing that they were done very long time ago (at least in film-history). You'll recognize many Star Wars and Indiana Jones scenes and motifs. All the Sinbad stories build on the very same structure, so don't watch them in short time-sequence otherwise they become too predictable. Acting leaves a lot to improve in the film that features Jane Seymour. The wardrobe and settings are ethnocentric and stereotypical from Western cultural view point. Half-naked, sexy and "exotic" "oriental" women are designed to sell rather than to attempt to show an accurate picture of Islamic cultures. Not much research but a lot of fantasy was put into the movies. However, they are uplifting to watch, light for an evening when you are too tired for action or deep impressions. They soothe the anxious and tired minds by diverting your attention. They are engaging and after all, I enjoyed them.
