September 05, 2009: I bought this DVD because I thought it would be great to have as part of my teacher resources. It is great for planning purposes and showing clips, but I was highly disappointed when I used it to show the entire lecture. I have used "The Last Lecture" in my classes before but I usually showed it via Youtube.com. When I used the DVD instead of YouTube, I was disappointed that it was the condensed, edited verison and it just didn't have the same impact. My students who had seen the YouTube verison commented that the DVD verison edited out a lot of the jokes that Randy made during his lecture etc. On the other hand, the DVD is shorter (runtime about 30min) which is good for shorter classes but the impact is just not the same.

March 24, 2009: Excellent speech. I never tire listening to Mr. Pausch. He had a great talent in his work and a great love for his dear family. His legacy will carry on for many, many years to come. Those who listen will be inspired with his love of life, family and beliefs.
