    Editorial Reviews

Have pity on series creator Bryan Fuller. The brilliant Pushing Daisies is the third of his quirky television shows (after Dead Like Me and Wonderfalls) to get the axe before its time. Starring Lee Pace as Ned, a pie maker with the unique ability to bring dead things back to life with a touch of his finger, Pushing Daisies was unable to find an audience despite critical praise. In Season 2, the series' last, Ned and his reanimated girlfriend, Chuck (Anna Friel), face the aftermath of Ned's confession that he killed her father when they were younger. Olive (the fabulous Kristin Chenoweth) decides to take residence in a nunnery after discovering the identity of Chuck's real mother. Chuck's aunts Lily (Swoosie Kurtz) and Vivian (Ellen Greene) deal with a mysterious stranger, Dwight Dixon (Stephen Root), who claims to have been a good friend of Chuck's father. And private investigator Emerson (Chi McBride) is on the trail of his long-lost daughter. Guest stars this season include French Stewart, Diana Scarwid, Fred Willard, David Arquette, Mo Collins, and Kerri Kenney. For fans that may have missed the final three episodes after network ABC unceremoniously chose to burn them off, almost five months after Season 2 first aired (and in a different time slot), rest assured you'll find them on this set, along with a bonus featurette.
