One of the most notorious slasher films of the 1980s returns to terrorize filmgoers with this blood-soaked remake that proves just how horrifying high school dances can truly be. Donna Keppel (Brittany Snow) has survived a terrible tragedy, but now the time has come to leave the past behind and celebrate her senior prom in style. When the big night finally arrives, Donna and her best friends prepare to enjoy their last big high-school blowout by living it up and partying till dawn. But while Donna is willing to look past her nightmares and into a brighter future, the man she thought she had escaped forever has returned for one last dance. An obsessed killer is on the loose, and he'll slay anyone who attempts to prevent him from reaching his one and only Donna. Who will survive to see graduation day, and what will Donna do when she's forced to confront her greatest fear? Scott Porter, Jessica Stroup, and Dana Davis co-star in the slasher remake that will have tuxedo-clad teens everywhere nervously looking over their shoulders as they file out onto the dance floor. January 08, 2009: this is one heck of a scary movie. i mean its not THAT THAT bad, but i had nightmares. ok i havnt seen it in a while so bear with me. k. the movie starts out as a flash back. the night donna's parents and brother were murdered by insane Richard Fenton, an obsessed teacher who wanted donna all to himself. no one else. he wanted no one else to love donna, so he got rid of the most importanted people in her life. three years later, donna is living with her aunt and uncle, donna still has nightmares, takes depression pills, and sees a consular. but can you blame her? she watched her mom get butchered. but donna is trying and cant wait for her prom with her boyfriend and friends. well...fenton escapes the loony house and is after donna, doing watever it takes to get rid of everyone donnas loves and everyone who loves donna. EVERYONE. well unfortunatly her friends dont make it out...alive. all but one. her bffs boyfriend. and for the meantime, donnas boyfriend is alive. the police are hot on fentons trail and are keeping donna safe, well trying at least. and heres the part i think was kinda...stupid on donnas part. that night her boyfriend stayed with her. donna has a nightmare that she goes to bathroom and is killed by fenton. so what does she do when she wakes up? goes to the bathroom!!! anyway how would u like to wake up, go to the bathroom, come back, and see your boyfriend slaughtered. not too many people. but dont worry. fentons killed...eventually. after all the damage is done. and donna is left with no one but her aunt and uncle. no one. it really is a night to die for.

September 30, 2008: The typical horror movie has horny teenagers that are usually high on drugs or alcohol. There are some makeout scenes and alcohol, but it really is very tame when compared to other horror films with teens in them. I like this because, I don't like to watch people having sex for half the movie, if that's what I wanted then I could of just bought a porno. I buy a horror movie for the scares, unfortunatly I did not find this film to be very scary. Although I was not really scared, this film was very realistic and it could happen in the real world, which in some ways can scare a person.
