Editorial Reviews

One of the goals set by many people in industrialized society is to achieve a healthy lifestyle through diet and exercise. A popular exercise regimen in reaching a state of health has become the Pilates exercise program. Founder Joseph Pilates looked to the ancient practice of yoga for inspiration in developing techniques for strengthening and molding the body. His techniques of stretching and breath control produce remarkable results in weight loss and body sculpturing when coupled with a sensible diet. Certified Pilates instructor Suzanne Deason leads her students on the right track to a healthy and slim physique in this energetic and energizing Pilates program. ~ Rose of Sharon Winter, All Movie Guide All Movie Guide

May 20, 2006: This is DEFINITELY not the excercise for someone who likes something that is quick and exciting. Yes, I know Pilates isn't supposed to be fast, but after a half hour, this dvd starts to put me to sleep. Get either a 30 minute one, or get a Tae Bo dvd!

Pilates is great, but not this videoby Anonymous

May 18, 2004: The video is the same no matter how many times you watch it ... so you are always going slowly through some of the basics, plus she is not great (ok, but not great) about reminding you of key elements, like which muscles should be activated. In addition I found myself watching the video rather than concentrating on my own body.
