This early Hitchcock effort is a parody of the thriller genre about a transient (Leon M. Lion) who accidentally discovers the hideout of a gang of jewel thieves. Jason Ankeny, All Movie Guide

April 03, 2003: Though this movie is an early product of Hitchcock's he proves to me his ability to master light as a means to move your emotions & stoke your fears. Our 5 year old went ape-wild when he saw the shadow of hands moving across the wall! Not to mention the hand hanging over the balcony. I gave it only 4 stars simply because the British dialogue is hard to follow at times. Reguardless of that, a great early Hitchcock movie!
