October 05, 2009: This is an excellent police-murder series. The stories and acting are first rate. The opening music is a bit strange, but when you get past that, the story lines are interesting and hold your attention some twists and turns. The actors are all accomplished and some are familiar from other shows and movies. The plots and characters are all realistic and seem to coincide with some of today's newspaper headlines. The police work is real and methodical, not some drummed up idea of how a "heavy-footed copper" would solve the crimes.

This is not as slick a production as Midsomer Murders or Poirot, but every bit as enjoyable. I wish there were more than this one series.

I Also Recommend: Father Brown: Set 1, Father Brown - Set 2.
