Editorial Reviews

Among the most extraordinary performers of the 20th century, Michael Jackson began making hit records with the Jackson 5 when he was only nine years old. Fourteen years after he first hit the charts, Jackson rewrote the rules of pop music with Thriller, a dazzling blend of pop, rock, and R&B that became the most successful album of all time. Michael Jackson: The One is a made-for-television documentary which looks back at some of the high points of Jackson's solo career, as well as emphasizing the positive messages Jackson has tried to share with his fans. Clips include Jackson's legendary rendition of "Billie Jean" from the Motown 25th Anniversary Special, "The Way You Make Me Feel" performed on the Grammy Awards telecast, and footage from American Bandstand of Michael singing the theme from Ben. August 30, 2009: This DVD is great to see how Michael Jackson influenced many artists who are in the music industry today. The only thing is that it is about an hour long. Other than that this DVD is a great addition to see how other artists feel about Michael.

August 19, 2005: This is an awesome DVD cause I love the recent song "One More Chance" from Number ONES that they play on this special. And, the special is very amazing it includes interviews of Beyonce and tons of other modern-day singers who are influenced by the King Of Pop! Plus Dick Clark talks about Michael Jackson's performances on American Bandstand with the Jackson 5 in 1970 up to the HIStory Trailer's premiere on American Bandstand in 1995. It shows clips from lots of Michael's groundbreaking videos and electric performances. I DEFINITELY recommend this, it's mind-blowingly entertaining!
