Featuring performances recorded for broadcast on educational television in the early 1960's, Masters of the Country Blues: Bukka White and Son House features White showing off his fiery slide guitar work on " Mama Don't Allow," " Gibson Hill," " Aberdeen Mississippi Blues" and others, while Son House divides his set between raw blues tunes ("Death Letter Blues" and "Preaching The Blues") and impassioned gospel ("John the Revelator," "I Want To Live So God Can Use Me").     October 11, 2009: Unfortunately, this is one of the only videos of these two blues legends. They only perform four to five songs each. It would have been nice to see them perform longer and to have more biographical material included.

    Son House knew Charlie Patton, Willie Brown and Robert Johnson - why didn't the videographers ask him about them?

    This is a great video because the performances, short as they are, are great and the audio is very good. If you like country and delta blues this is a video for your collection.
