    Editorial Reviews

This unauthorized video biography of the infamous Antichrist Superstar cobbles together a rouges' gallery of disgruntled ex-band members, ex-girlfriends, and ex-fan club managers to paint a highly unflattering (although at times outrageously funny) portrait of one Brian Warner, a.k.a Marilyn Manson. Rare video footage shows performances by the earliest incarnation of the band, then known as Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids, and some mean-spirited pranks played on unsuspecting groupies. For all the sound and fury surrounding the shock rocker -- especially in the wake of the Columbine shootings -- Demystifying the Devil should serve well to remind gullible fans and rabid anti-Manson zealots alike how inconsequential the center of this tempest really is. "The Devil", after all, should be given some credit for managing to break out of the South Florida music scene where his bitter contemporaries remain stuck. Patrick Macias, Barnes & Noble
