Volume Six in the Looney Tunes Golden Collection comprises four discs, each showcasing a different theme. Disc 1, titled "Looney Tunes All Stars," features all the best-loved characters in the classic shorts. Disc 2, "Patriotic Pals," includes a collection of shorts with wartime themes. Disc 3, "Bosko, Buddy, and Merrie Melodies," features rare treasures from Warner Bros.' pre-Looney Tunes era. Disc 4, titled "Most Requested Assorted Nuts," features favorite shorts that defy any classification, including Horton Hatches the Egg. Aside from a bountiful collection of eye-catching cartoons, Volume 6 also features over seven hours of bonus content, including Mel Blanc: The Man of a Thousand Voices, a never-before-seen documentary focusing on the legendary voice artist. Special features also include commentaries by filmmakers, animators, and historians, as well as alternate audio programs and much more. From the Studio

October 26, 2009: This DVD is what I had been looking for. I thought that the last 5 were good this is a whole lot better. This DVD has missing cartoons and some of the older ones that have never been seen in yrs. Also has a lot of extras. Like a short on Mel Blanc that tells his life story through friends and family.

I Also Recommend: Looney Tunes Golden Collection - Vol. 3, Looney Tunes Golden Collection - Vol. 4, Looney Tunes Golden Collection - Vol. 4, Looney Tunes Golden Collection - Vol. 5, Looney Tunes Golden Collection - Vol. 1.

The one thing missing from the other reviews...by Satchmo

May 28, 2009: Everyone concentrates on the cartoons, which are classics. I will not debate that. One of the coolest things on this set is the documentary on Mel Blanc. To watch this makes the viewer realize just how special Mel really was, and also how close the world came to losing him too soon. I won't ruin it for anyone who decides to pick it up, but the hospital story is one of the coolest I've ever heard.
