Adventure is only limited by imagination in this exciting animated fantasy from The Goonies writer Chris Columbus. Warmly welcomed to the Kingdom of Slumberland by the king himself, young Nemo is christened heir to the throne and given a magical key that will open any door in the kingdom. Though Nemo is warned not to open the one door with the power to destroy Slumberland, temptation proves too strong and the king is kidnapped as a black cloud of nightmares washes over the formerly idyllic dreamscape. Now, if Nemo is to reverse his error and bring the king back alive, he must rally his friends and journey deep into Nightmare Land to face his ultimate fear. Will dreams ever return to Slumberland, or has Nemo's folly set into motion an irreversible, eternal echo of nightmares and chaos? Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

November 21, 2009: The movie for thoses who dream big, Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland, follows the mischief and quests of Winsor McCay's beloved protagonist. This film brought back the sweeter memories of my childhood, before I was able to become fully engaged with the timeless classic.

The characters are as memorable as they are developed, taken right out from a seven-year old's dream. The story is filled with flights of fantasy, thrill, suspense, comedy, love and macabre. Musical scores and Disney-esque songs captivate the viewer of all ages and only serve to immerse oneself further into the fictional universe. Not only is it fun to watch, but it is also full of moral value, to show you the difference between making mistakes and correctng them.

Bottom Line: I cannot recommend this movie enough. Every person, young and old, should say that they have seen Little Nemo in real life, not in their dreams.

I Also Recommend: My Neighbor Totoro, Little Nemo in the Palace of Ice, and Further Adventures, Little Nemo, Winsor McCay: Early Works, Volume 1, Little Nemo in Slumberland, Volume 2.
