Editorial Reviews

The slickly produced series, about a team responsible for combating swindlers and cheats at the Montecito Hotel & Casino, returns for a third season with a new cast member. Lara Flynn Boyle makes her debut as new boss Monica Mancuso, the hard-driving and generally disliked owner of the hotel. Created as a foil for operations chief Ed Deline (James Caan) and head of security Danny McCoy (Josh Duhamel), the character quickly wore out her welcome and was sent packing in the tenth episode ("For Sail by Owner") -- in a spectacular way. Other Las Vegas - Season 3 highlights include: McCoy catching a disguised card counter in "Double Down, Triple Threat"; the theft of a priceless necklace on display at the Montecito in "Bold, Beautiful, and Blue"; the team's preparations for a national poker tour in "Down & Dirty"; and, in the fanciful in "Everything Old Is You Again," Danny's vision of the Montecito as it would have been back in the cocktail-swiggin’ '60s. The season ends with a bang: Deline's daughter Delinda (Molly Sims) prepares to walk down the aisle, while his old buddies from the CIA recruit him for a "special operation." Barnes & Noble
