Michael Keaton stars in this special-effects-heavy Christmas film about a boy who discovers, after his father dies in a car accident, that his dad is still alive in the form of a snowman. Unlike the horror film of the same name, Jack Frost is a children's film designed to warm the soul during a chilly winter season. Think of this film as a live-action version of the children's classic Frosty the Snowman. The story starts with Jack Frost (Michael Keaton), a harmonica-playing blues rocker who spends too much time pursuing his musical career, leaving little time for his wife (Kelly Preston) and son Charlie (Joseph Cross). Feeling guilty for his absence and missing his son's hockey practice, he decides to forego his big audition to spend Christmas with his family. While driving home for the holidays, however, Jack dies in a tragic auto accident. The following Christmas, Jack's son builds a snowman and decorates it with his father's old clothes. When Charlie plays his father's harmonica, Jack Frost returns home in the body of the snowman. Jack has to show Charlie how much he loves him and also has to teach him the ice hockey shot he never got around to when he was alive. December 09, 2007: this movie is amazing everone can relate 2 charlie.charlie loses his dad in a car accident and because is dad made promises 2 him that he never kept charlie is really upset.this movie is a family friendly movie i loved it and u will love it 2.

October 11, 2007: I'm really into film, all genres. People ask me what my favorite movie is, and that's a tough question, but every once in a while someone will ask me what's the worst movie I've ever seen and that one's easy. JACK FROST. Now there are thousands of direct to video pieces of crap, but 9 times out of 10 those films know exactly what they are and are lame attempts to milk a dime from the video renting public. Jack Frost however, oh where to begin. The plot: after a man dies an untimely death he's brought back to life in the form of a snowman, at which point he seeks out his family so he can put things right with his son. Now I lost my mother at a very young age, and even as a child had I seen her return to me in snow-woman form, well it would have destroyed me mentally for, I'm sure, the rest of my life. The kid in this film is startled...for about 2 seconds, then he embraces his frostypop. Plotholes abound, the most glaring, why doesn't anyone notice this snowmans mobility. Yes there is a brief scene where the wife says something to the effect of " wasn't that snowman on the other side of the lawn 5 seconds ago?" and then quickly shrugs it off. The snowman can also make snowballs from his body and chuck them at bad guys. I could go on and on but I'm not even going to bother. Watch the movie once, if just to see how not to make a movie. So if you want bad dialogue, the worst CG effects, and horrible acting buy Jack Frost today. Did I mention when the snowdad is reborn the whole scene is scored to Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide". Shudder.
