Editorial Reviews

Having just carried out a particularly difficult hit in London, two hitmen seek shelter in Bruges, Belgium, only to find their views on life and death permanently altered by their interactions with the locals, the tourists, and a film crew. Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, and Ralph Fiennes star in an action comedy from director Martin McDonagh. Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

May 16, 2009: This film leaves me a little puzzled. It doesn't seem to live up to many peoples' hype. It is a dark comedy which is a genre I enjoy but, even so, there weren't any moments that made me laugh out loud. There was emotional depth in the story of Colin Farrel's character but I wasn't really engaged. I really wanted to see more Ralph Fiennes.

May 06, 2009: In the film Colin Ferrell, Ralph Finnes and Brendan Gleeson once again flex their acting muscles at a chance to play quarky, irritable and annoying (sometimes flat-out rude) assassin duo (Gleeson and Ferrell) and crime boss (Finnes). The two are sent to Bruges,Belgium to lay low and enjoy the sites. Along with that comes a cadre of characters that weave an intricate plot that leaves you wanting to hop the next plane for Europe. Laughs, Hate, Fear and Sorrow are also along for the ride in the film that left me glad that I watched it.

I Also Recommend: Tigerland, The Woods, Ask the Dust.
