Veteran AIP genre star Larry Bishop (son of famed Rat Packer Joey Bishop) directs and stars in this gritty revenge tale concerning a biker gang that rallies to avenge the violent murder of a fellow gang member. An homage to such classic biker films as Chrome and Hot Leather and Angel Unchained, Hell Ride was conceived when director Bishop was invited to Quentin Tarantino's home to view a print of The Savage Seven. Upon realizing that there hadn't been a true biker film in years, the pair quickly contacted Bob Weinstein and conspired to produce a lean and mean two-wheeled revenge flick that would more than make up for lost time. Bikers, Babes, and Booze...by Gonzo84

March 12, 2009: I picked this little number up over the holidays, just by the look of the cover and that it was produced by Quentin Tarantino. I am an avid biker fan (Sonny Barger, Easy Rider) and so when I saw this in the store, I just had to get it. Not knowing anything about the feature and what to expect, I was actually, suprisingly, blown away. The film is very stylized and I would say just as good as "Easy Rider." Just with a comic book touch; I'm not saying I'm into to comic books or comparing the two, but I am saying that this film has no boundaries...it's an "In your face," "No holds-bar," free for all. Larry Bishop did a superb job, with writing/directing/acting, he managed to turn this film into a masterpiece. I keep telling the Tarantino fans out there to check this one out, since it's definitely within the ranks of his style. The story is of course about revenge. Like Jackie Brown and other Tarantino flicks, this film has that 70s touch, with the story and the editing. All the characters from Bishop to Madsen to Hopper are top notch and keep you laughing. I guess Tarantino asked Bishop early on during Kill Bill, to write and direct the biggest and greatest biker movie of all time and boy does this not dissappoint. This is one of those films I want to watch over and over again, but try not to since I don't want that to ruin my viewing of it. This was a fun and wild ride, a "Hell" of a "Ride" would be the best way to put it, full of Bikers, Babes, and Booze...

I Also Recommend: Easy Rider, Ridin' High, Livin' Free: Hell-Raising Motorcycle Stories, Freedom: Credos from the Road, Hell's Angel: The Life and Times of Sonny Barger and the Hell's Angels Motorcycle Club, Hell's Angels: A Strange and Terrible Saga.
